The woodland at the back of the house is used by off road cyclists. It’s a mix of paths and forest tracks but the local MTB club has set up some ‘adventures’ with the blessing of National Trust for Scotland who manage the land.

For the serious road cyclist, there are some great local routes. Traffic is generally very well behaved to cyclists on the roads. The GlenElg circuit makes a great day out by bike but there are other classics within reach such as the road to Applecross circuit including the infamous Bealach na Ba if you want the challenge of a rise to 2,053 ft.
If you want a fun mountain bike trip, try the woodland tracks behind the house. It’s possible to get all the way to Plockton, mainly on forest tracks. 15km there, lunch and then home!
Vehicles on the roads are mainly well behaved but a flash of bright colour or flashing rear and front lights can be helpful. And in low light condition, please put on front and rear lights.
